iPhone audio at IGDA

The theme of August's Toronto International Game Developers Association meeting was iPhone games development.


This was particularly opportune for me, as I recently started work on audio for my first iPhone game.


Coming directly from strategizing about optimizing audio integration for the iPhone, I had a lot of current and relevant lessons learned to share.

The processes required for compressing and implementing audio still require a bit of creative troubleshooting in order to optimally balance size and quality - you can find the details in the presentation I gave.


For those in attendance who happened to not be audio designers, I also shared a few secrets to making iPhone audio better in day-to-day personal use.
